The Museum displays 14 sculptures by Felice Vatteroni (1908-1993), coming from donations from the artist when still alive, and 20 studies acquired by the Carrara Council.
All these works are included in the Modern Sculpture section. They are a clear example of the artist's versatility and show his great interest in the human body: his predominant theme is the female figure on which, since the sixties, he has experimented various types of materials to give color to his sculptures: white statuary marble of Carrara, porphyry, travertine, bardiglio, black Belgian, pink Portuguese, bronze. As well as sculptures, in this section there are various studies exhibited: self-portraits, academic drawings, charcoal, sanguine, pencil, pen studies of female and male nudes.
