Plaster casts with marble reproductions of sacred icons from the Carrara region are displayed in this section.
They are iconographic representations often with Latin or Italian inscriptions that can be seen in niches in ancient buildings or in votive tabernacles along the road. The samples show the development of this art through the centuries, from the 15th up to the beginning of the 20th, and are part of a proposal to replace the originals in order to preserve them.
